Blue Sand Collection was founded by local business owners Alberto Cordero and Shannon Boyle, a husband
and wife team with the idea of creating unique experiences in the west coast of Puerto Rico. Today
BSC has grown to be one of the leaders in the hospitality industry of our town.
We host travelers from all over the world and proudly employ local talent that are constantly
innovating to bring you memorable experiences worth repeating.
Villa Carambola & Villa Flamboyan marked the beginning of the BSC hospitality journey. Today we embark
on the most challenging and ambitious projects yet. Cocoloba at Crashboat Beach is a
collection of rustic-chic beachfront “casitas” focused on connection with nature, lots of activities,
and conservation. Cocoloba also features an eco-friendly beach bar serving local delicacies and
hosting live music and community events for the enjoyment of those that decide to be part of our
story.

Aguadilla is the perfect headquarters for exploring northwest Puerto Rico. The natural assets surrounding our villas have been key contributors to the development of its coastal communities. The same “wind protected” characteristic that makes this region a surf paradise drove the Spanish colonizers to construct a port in what was known back then as “North Aguada” during the 17th century. Since then, the fortunes of our coast have paved the way for the cultural and economic growth that the area has experienced until the present. From surfing, to diving and fishing, littoral residents have been able to develop businesses around hospitality, gastronomy, and recreation. We are proud to be one of the local businesses paving the way for sustainable development and economic growth in the area.
Alberto Cordero & Shannon Boyle met while pursuing their degrees at Purdue University.
Throughout their years together they have been able to visit many places around the world.
Inspired by their travels & the beauty of Aguadilla, Alberto’s hometown, they decided to
develop a company that invited others to experience the same beauty that led them to establish
a life and family in Puerto Rico.
Although they lived in San Juan with their two kids, a lot of their time was spent driving out
to Aguadilla to visit Alberto's family. Aguadilla became a big part of Shannon's life and
eventually the Cordero’s second home.
With Shannon's and Alberto´s vision and impeccable taste, they have built and designed beautiful
properties and develop an eco-conscious beach bar at Crash Boat Beach. Today Villa Carambola,
Villa Flamboyan, Cocoloba, and Cocoloba Beach Bar provide unique experiences on the west coast
of Puerto Rico for travelers from all over the world to enjoy!
Coral, our passionate local expert wears many hats! From helping you get ready for your dream vacation, leading our team to success, or making an occasional cocktail at our bar Coral loves the diversity and excitement of the hospitality industry. A proud Johnson & Wales graduate with a degree in International tourism, a RYT 200-hour yoga certification, and lots of travel experience our GM brings a different perspective to our team! When she isn’t working you may find her at some secluded beach looking for waves or practicing yoga.
Yolanda, or as we all like to call her “la jefa,” has been with us from the very beginning. There’s no staff member that knows the houses better than our lovely Yoli. From cleaning the houses and managing the housekeeping team Yolanda has earned the trust and respect of everyone at Blue Sand Collection. Known for her brave and fun spirit and her ability to keep us all on our toes, Yoli fills the space with gratitude and humility.
Our jack of all trades ! Raul is skilled at a wide range of repairs. His respect and love for the trades make him detailed and thorough. From keeping the pool clean to leading the construction of our newest project Raul can do it all. Hard worker with a heart of gold and the ability to stay calm has made him a star employee. When he isn’t working you may find him underwater practicing SCUBA or enjoying his large family of fishermen!
Wilmaris graduated in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. Her hard work and dedication led her to quickly evolve within the culinary field. Now as the Executive Chef of Cocoloba Beach Bar she is committed to provide customers with star worthy dishes. Her love for the industry stems from the freedom of creation and the limitless possibilities the culinary world provides. Known for her asian creole creative cuisine and great sense of humor Wilmaris is the artist of our team!
